Finally got the videos done! I put them into one video to save space. I apologise for the terrible quality and the fact everything looked grey before we turned the light on. And also the fact that I'm filming the floor quite a lot. I'd start watching Munchy and he'd move and I'd forget to move the camera! And you might want to watch it with the sound off due to my nan being silly in the first section and then my completely random and pointless talking occasionally XD
And I'm not sure if it will work, because my boyfriend can't view it, although it works fine on my computer :/

I'm not sure once they get past around 8 -12 months, annieones. Munchy was only a baby when I got him, he had his first moult during March (which occurs at around 3 - 4 months of age) and they're usually weaned at around 5 weeks as far as I'm aware, so five weeks was about the minimum age he could be, so I based it on that. Once a budgie has had its first moult, however, I have no idea how to tell how old they are, sorry. I wasn't on for a few days and spent ages looking for this post as i couldn't remember where i'd seen it. I'll have to try and work it all out based on his moult, he's just had his second one.Thank you for that and love the photos you've posted. Brilliant ;D

Thanks everyone Munchy's had two this year, just finished one, so they might be about the same age, but if his first moult was last year then he's probably 1 and a half to 2 ish. Thanks Sam ^^ I like that part too. He does have a habit of shoving his face right up into the camera if he sees it now. He's such a show off that he wants to show everyone his best side, and then he makes himself all blurry ^^

Also, my granddad's been trying to teach him to whistle a line of a jazz tune. Within a few days he was trying to imitate the song and now, whilst he doesn't actually make different notes that often, just the same whistle-note, he's got the timing perfectly. He likes to give us little bits as well as his own variations quite a lot of the time too ^^

He is indeed, Sam XD He makes us laugh every day, even if it's by whistling really loudly when my grandparents try to sleep in the afternoons XD He just came into the shower with me for the first time this morning, albeit because I was holding his favourite ball. He started trying to drink water that was running down my nose and he ended up pretty wet ^^ I think we were both very happy afterwards, judging by him sitting on my head and twittering whilst I was trying to dry and not scare him off with the towel ;D

They grow up so fast don't they. Hardly seems like a year ago.
Hope he's okay with his night fright. It's scary when that happens.

I know what you mean, Stace! On one hand it hardly feels like yesterday when I got him, but on the other hand it feels like he's been a member of our family forever and I can't remember what life was like without him! He's fine, thank you It really frightens my nan, especially as she was alone with him and didn't know what to do. He seemed okay whilst I was talking to him and eventually went back to his swing. That's only twice that he's done it for an unknown reason, both times when only my nan was around and the first time in the middle of the night. She was convinced that he would be on the floor of the cage the next morning. Once he panicked because he was asleep and I accidentally brushed his tail whilst covering up the cage and the other day because the rain was really loud and pounding on the window. He's usually okay though, but you're right, it is frightening.
