You may have noticed that I'm unable to post without quickly modifying it Typically I read it once, then post, then reread and spot a mistake On some forums I've found I wouldnt be flagged as modifying if done within a certain time, or before someone else has read it. Is there an option for that here? Would make me look less daft

We don't think you are daft, Matt.
Marianne might be able to change the settings. Not sure.

Matt
None of us think you are daft. I actually have the same problem with typos!
I had a look and I can't see a way to change it I'm sorry.

Yes normally there is time from 5 to 15 minutes for editing posts, without being labelled as "Edited".
And secondly there is a column where one can write the "Reason For Editing".
Today I had to edit a two days old post as I spotted a spelling mistake. I wonder what other members will think that why I had to alter my post after two days.

Sometimes I don't or I miss one anyway, and have to go back in. We are human unfortunately.
