Wow Lorna, looks like you are on a mission to amaze people with your posts. It is very lovely and very informative for others who are willing to have a bird room. Is that a baby flight to the right of the door?

Is that a baby flight to the right of the door? Hi BB, Yes thats a mobile nursery to the right of the door next to the flight. Thought it may be interesting to show on the new forum as some people may be thinking about building/converting to a breeding/rearing venture. Its a great experience. Willing to answer any questions that might help.

Is this a new venture Lorna or the original birdroom Hi Barrie, Its the original. Thought it would be good to share our experience on the forum as original thread lost on the old forum. New birdroom at planning stage still and is an existing annexe/outbuilding to our home.

Hi Lorna, cracking birdshed.
Just proves size isnt everything! You took what you had and made it into something that you can get plenty of enjoyment out of!!

hi lorna what make air filter is it where cani buy one please Thanks Owain and Brian - it was a great wee shed. One of my sons and his partner has it as a storeroom for horse stuff now ! Hi Steve, This is the link for the air filter fan from the Bird Room www.thebirdroom.co.uk/perch-holder-fan-filtersI had it on a timer switch but also regularly wiped clean all surfaces in the shed, sprayed the birds- provide bird baths, changed bedding in flight and cages regularly to keep dust down. I used horse hemcore /aubiose bedding in the flight as it has a bit more moisture to it being made from plant stems and completely free of chemicals/bleaches etc. Also plenty of fresh circulating air ie from open windows ( not draughty ones !) I think it all helps together in combatting the dust from so many birds rather than just relying on an air filter. This wee air filter worked fine for me in an 8 x 6 shed but is only 16 watts and very cheap to run.

Trying to get through all these as I should. All I can say is what a pity son and partner don't use it for what it was intended! It was a beauty,Lorna. You must miss it.
