All Hale to our beautiful Green buds, they are all gorgeous. I would love to have bred from my Jo to keep his colour line going but alas the french moult prevented me from doing so. He was the only one out of the 5 that i bred that turned out that colour, Fern is more of a cinnamon green. Jo was just like his dad .

I never used to like green budgies but since owning one (Harvey), an opaline, I realise how beatiful the green ones are, some of their markings are really stunning.

My first budgie was a gorgeous emerald green. Having Munchy, who is yellow with some nice patches of green, I would be tempted to go for a bird of a different colour if I got him a friend (really was upset that I couldn't get that violet, but that's life) but I know that if I was given the green light (no pun intended) to get another bird then I'd just go for the one that took my fancy, regardless of colour, and if I ended up with 20 greens then so be it. Green was my favourite colour as a child and I still love it and green was the colour that nature made wild budgies. Besides, so what if your budgies were all green, I bet no two of them would be alike!
I remember in my granddad's breeding days, a long time ago before decimal currency, you'd get a bit more for blues even back then. Never quite understood that mentality myself, especially as you could have an aviary full of birds and be able to tell them all apart even if they all looked the same to everyone else.

Ira - totally agree about your last comment, they are all different, they have different "faces" as well as their personalities
