What an interesting mix of bird you have bred, Sydney. he really is a lovely looking thing - just wondering about that blue tinge the flash gave to his body feathers. Does anyone know whether this means there is some smidgen of colour there? Or is it just a flash oddity? Inos can have such tinge called suffusion.

Do you think that is what we are seeing in that photo?

I just realised that his tail won't be brown because he is dominate pied. The only other way to find out what he is is by breeding him.

Looks like a lacewing dilute (or greywing) to me. If it is also dominant pied the flight and tail feathers will remain clear

I think the markings are more grey than brown so i am with nev and think its more a grey wing. the cheek patches would be a plum colour if it was a lacewing wouldn't it nev?. Sue

Hey Sydney is this a recent photo of the father? Just asking because his cere is pink. This could mean he is dominant and recessive pied. I definitely see greywing or dilute in the father and the fathers father.
