I'm just putting up a testing thread, to try out things on and to see how and if they work.

Testing... If I put the IMG code for a pic straight into the QUICK REPLY box at the bottom. Okay. That worked. I simply copied the IMG code from my picture hosting site (Photobucket, TinyPic etc) and pasted it into the QUICK REPLY box.

Testing... If I add a picture directly from those stored on my computer, by clicking ADD ATTACHMENTS.

Anyone who wants to test things out, try it on this topic thread if you wish. You can make all your mistakes here.

I simply copied the IMG code from my picture hosting site (Photobucket, TinyPic etc) and pasted it into the QUICK REPLY box. When using the quote button to reply, there doesn't seem to be much room left in the CREATE POST window that comes up. That is, if there is a large picture held within the quoted text.
However, it expands itself as you type to create more room.
Okay. I've just solved my own question.

A great idea - a space to play.
Just noticed I can't find a "preview" button or the spell check.
I tried to insert a Smiley and promptly lost all of my text. Has this happened to anyone else?
I dare not try adding an attachment right now but I certainly am going to have a play tomorrow.
I'm having as much fun as a budgie with a new toy!!! (although I'm slightly nervous..)

There is no formal PREVIEW button, but it has been replaced with something that is probably better, and easier once you get the hang of it. Go and look at my guide for posting and replying to posts in the Feedback topics on V5. You'll see where I talk about two new buttons, called VISUAL and BBCode. They are on the bottom left of the reply box (not the QUICK REPLY box - the more featured reply box). Clicking on VISUAL lets you see what you posting exactly as it will post. Once set on VISUAL, it shows you how your post is looking as you are typing it. It also shows you exactly how your pics look, instead of just showing you all the confusing computer code. If you go through that guide step-by-step, it will make things much clearer.

I'm just checking the spell check for you, Learner. As you type, if you make a mistke, like that, a little blue hint box comes up. If you like the automatic suggestion, click on it. If you don't want that word or spelling, ignore it. You can click this hint box even before you've finished typing the word, if it is the one that you want. Saves typing. If you've made a mistake, but there is no suggestion box, it seems to underline misspelt words in red, then often self corrects them.

Do you have more pictures of baby Boo? I have very few. My camera back then was nearly dead. I'll post some in a new thread for you.

Ok what about videos? There is no "youtube" button but there is a "Insert Video" Button so will try and see if that works to see if we can view it...... COOL! So click the "Insert Video" and then paste your URL into the box. SIMPLES!
