I don't do this, all mine get a visual health check everyday, any that look off get manhandled and checked over.
Ivermectin twice a year and a full health check both times feeling keel bones etc.
However all new birds go to the vets for a check over and all get a Psittacosis test before coming home.
I strongly recommend all birds are tested for Psittacosis it is extremely common and can be deadly to humans as well as birds.
Other blood work is done by AvianBiotech as it is cheaper just takes longer for the results, about a week or so whereas with my vets I get the Psittacosis result in a couple of hours.

Thanks BB :-) Wow Stace, that test does sound pretty thorough. I wouldn't see the point in putting them through it all unless there was an obvious problem though. Ka-ching ka-ching :-) Pennies in the piggy bank for the vets bills when they are really needed :-)
