Oh he is lovely - looks very much like Hob. I was reading about budgie colours the other day and apparently the green ones with yellow heads are what you typically find in the wild. Some people on here are serious experts when it comes to colours though.

Hello, thanks for solving that, here are some more then. As I already said, I'm a rubbish photographer and my camera isn't very good! The third one is very blurry but you can see him on his new perch. He only had one size of perch before which is bad for their toes/feet, I believe? At least that is the case with a lot of other bird species... Starlingqueen: sorry about the poor quality photos, hopefully you'll be able to see his colours more clearly on one of the others. No, I uploaded them onto my website (which is still under construction) and then got them from there, but I'll look into getting a photobucket account. Ok, so they don't seem to be showing again, is there something I'm doing wrong? Really, just say if there is, however stupid I'm being! Tani

Some people on here are serious experts when it comes to colours though. Hob is slightly different, though, lousette, as he has green across his wings, and I am NOT a serious expert on colours, but I think this makes him opaline (normal green). birdbrain, from what I can make out from the photo that did work is that Spinkey is a normal green. If the colour across his wings is yellow. And I understand perfectly about the cage ......... you want to be sure before spending up big. It is great that you have already made headway with him quietening down. I really hope he does decide you are worthy of his trust. That is really what it comes down to.
