Had a craft weekend this Easter and the OH made this for the buds to land on when they decide to venture to the table It is now in situ but as usual the buds are like "yeah, as if" Hopefully OH wont be too heartbroken that they have not sat on it yet (he was so proud of his efforts as am I) but am sure they will investigate when ready Patience is a virtue.....right?

That's good, I'm sure they'll investigate it in no time! I hope so too! Its the usually the thing tho isn't it? We admire our choice of toys and ideas and the budgies look at you with "you ARE joking right?" But as Sweetpea says, surely no one can refuse the lure of millet

It really is great. If they won't investigate it on the table, how about putting it on top of the cage? Once they are comfortable with it there you SHOULD be able to move it just about anywhere. It is the height they like .............
ARe they a plastic clip OH has used to secure the perches? And how are they secured to the main frame? Sorry for the questions, Sam, but I like that it may be a quick solution to joining perches to frames.

Love it. Wonder how long it will take for the buds to brave it?

Thanks BudgiesBuddy, my OH is like good like that - at practical (I am the finishing touches) Well here is Part answer to your questions Hezz & Marianne Marlow! We have made something similar for the top of the cage as it is really quite high already... And as Alfie loves exploring the top of the cage..... It didn't take long with some little persuasion Have put the big one on the main table so it is easier to get to, but it is only day one so softly softly catchy monkey I have exciting news! AFTER I put the camera away - I spotted Barney and Wiggy playing on the "thing" toy together!!!! AT LAST! Perhaps Wiggy aint that grumpy afterall

Ooops! Yes, forgot to mention that yes you are right, they are pipe fixers (we noticed our breeder used those for his perches and thought what an ingenious idea!
