thanks nat, i was hoping there would be a pied, The first lot of chicks normally get the lions share of mums food, so the last one's I am sorry to say get pushed to the back and loose out..........survival of the fittest.........but not always

just a quick question sapphire has laid another egg and the chick is still in the nest with them, the chick is 33 days old, is the chick old enough to be moved, because it gets in and out of the nest, and sits in the food dish on it own. any advice would be appreciated thanks

The chick is old enough to be removed from the nest box but not from the cage and parents. You should wait until he is 42 days old.
