Cockateils are such sweethearts. What cute little things they are.

Just some thoughts on your teils :-) My mate who keeps budgies and teils indoors has tried budgies and teils together and found her teils were happier living without the budgies. Although there was never any fighting between the 2 species in her flight, the budgies did kinda have the dominant hand in things. Another thing to consider is the space teils need to fly having a larger wingspan and a different flying style to budgies. My 2 bourkes did not want to live with the budgies in my old indoor aviary as it was only 8ft long and 3 ft wide and used to escape as soon as the door was opened and I could never get them back in. When I built the new aviary which gave them more swooping space they were happy to be in there and fly back in there immediately if I left the door open.

I have wondered if they don't like the budgies and watched the interacting. The budgies tend to visit them on their shelf and they don't seem to mind at all. When they go down for food they will happily share with the buds. My little FM sleeps next to the female cockatiel and she doesn't seem to mind. I've added a full spectrum light to see if that will cheer them up.

The lights a great idea! :-) Which reminds me...I must change the bulb in my birdroom as although it works it must be too old to have effect! I hope it helps your teils :-)
