Hi everyone, I'm selling my floor standing play gym as we are planning on buying a dog as soon as we have enough money in the puppy fund and I won't want the budgies playing near the floor for obvious reasons... Don't feel sorry for the budgies though please- they have a wonderful new swing instead to play on which hangs at the window! If you could make use of it in your house or aviary please let me know. It's for sale on ebay, but sensible offers through the budgie forum will be fine if you'd like it. The link on ebay is here: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Organic-pine-and-willow-bird-playground-gym-/190855027100?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Birds&hash=item2c6fd8999cAny questions please ask or PM me, Sarah

Hi Rachael, I don't have a buy it now price in mind- I'd be happy with ten pounds plus postage though I reckon. Unfortunately postage is a bit of a killer, if I can get it cheaper than I have yet been quoted online I'll refund the difference. The problem is that not having a destination postcode to enter makes the quote thing a bit hit and miss! I bet it'd be fab for your flock though!!

I've just measured up this morning and it won't fit where I had in mind I hadn't realised how tall it is lol. Its a shame because I would have happily bought it otherwise. I am sure you will sell it though because its an amazing play tree

Oh Sarah, I do love that stand. I have been dithering but I think Matthew will kill me if I buy yet another budgie thing as the dining room now has playgym, normal cage and rat cage. I will have a little chat with Matthew anyway as I know he was very impressed with the gym when he saw it at your house!

Okay ... I guess not. Just spoke to Matthew and got told in no uncertain terms that we are NOT buying any more budgies things.

We will be getting a Whippet- my sister has a Whippet puppy now, and I'd forgotten how much I missed having a dog until I met him, we had a Whippet x Lab when I lived at home, she lived 14 and a half years. Quite expensive though, we need to save the money to buy the puppy and the vaccinations, plus a cushion to leave in the bank before we can go ahead... may take a while but the goal is worth the wait!

Y don't u adopt a lil one they already have all the vac spayed etc u can get a very young ones as well Charity I help always has them in or crosses as pups 6-7 months old may be not the 8 week old one u want but still a option. Or go to a breed rescue for a non cross. There is a rescue in Wales call friends of the animals RCt Many whippets r just givin at young because they are no good for racing that's all already got all things vet.
Good luck with your pup fund

I may do that Liz, but I really want to train one from very young to be around the budgies, the training will be very important for the safety of everyone. My sisters puppy comes round quite often as he's getting used to lots of environments and people and he is very chilled about the budgies, he just licks up the feathers he finds on the floor!
