Today I took ada along to see the vet for her blood and swabs to be taken. She only had the one cloaca swab but when he did it the swab had some blood on it. He said its because the lining is very sensitive and not to worrie. However that was about 5 hours ago and she is still passing some blood when she goes. Her vet only works the mornings but I'm thinking of calling them and see if they will call him as I'm worried she is still passing blood, or is this to be expected?

I've given her bum feathers a little wash and she has done a poop just now that has the tiniest of drowny red on it, she is not pooping as much (I'd guess it's sore to poop). So I think the blood I was seeing wasn't fresh. Put new paper in her cage too to see what's coming out. So should know for sure in an hour when she poops some more. She's preening her bum at the moment. Why do they make us panic so much

Well think it has stopped, two poops on the paper very very faint red on them, whipped off two poops from her bum both no blood at all. Think I'll trim her bum feathers tomorrow as its getting stuck on her bum or is there anything o can put on her bum to help?

Oh, poor baby. You can maybe try to put a little bit of cooking oil or vaseline around her vent so the poops will slide out/off better.

It's been just over a week and still no results yet, will phone them at the end of the week if no results by then. Ads' s bum is well all most back to normal, she is still getting the odd poop stuck on her bum but most are now not getting stuck. After a week of having her bum wiped she now knows the words "let me see you bum" and runs like her life depends on it soon hearing them.

had another email with the beak and PBFD results she is nenative so have told her, her long beak I have to keep trimming is just down to her being lazy. So now her vet can blaim things on her having beak and feather. Called them up can the candida takes longer as they have to grow a culter but is it being done but no word yet on it, the lady I spoke to said she will chase up the lab today and I will get a certificate threw the post with all the results when there all done and will get another email as soon as they get the results from the lab. A very nice lady but then again they have all been when ive called.

So good news so far. I thought you would have some answer on the Candida by now - it doesn't take long to grow up, so sounds like she is probably clear there too. They may well keep her culture for a week or so to be sure it is negative. Hope this is what is happening.

hopefully, now her poop isn't getting stuck on her bum the wet rings around them on the paper are a lot smaller, more have no ring or hardly any ring! so guess shoving something up there may have fixed whateder it was.
she was palying with tissue last night and I was bobbing it up and down and she was copying it. I sware she picks up more eagle traits every week.
