I ve removed yesturdays and added some again today. They dont seem to keen on it. Should i try maybe shredding it ? Sent from my U9200 using proboards I wouldn't leave any fresh foods in the cage overnight, if you pop it in in the morning when you do their cage, water etc and then take it out after 4-5 hours max (depending on the heat etc) that's a good way of making sure bacteria aren't breeding on your birds food. Keep trying with the veggies, persistence is the key with budgies! Good point Sent from my U9200 using proboards

I have 9 buds so they each like different things. Poppi is a fan of carrot, Daisy likes broccoli, Digger likes corn on the cob and Gilbert likes celery. Everyone likes everything I give them but they're some of their favs Nicola

Grass is a must have, but as far as people foods go it's a hard choice between carrot, peas and sweetcorn (particularly in rounds) And that's just one bird.... Like Sarah said, just keep trying. Sometimes it just takes them a while to get used to the food being there, then start to play with it and finally discover that it tastes good. My budgie used to pull the individual buds off of a piece of broccoli, chew at them and drop them to the ground when he first took to even touching the strange green thing in his cage. There was always a big mess underneath it afterwards. These days as long as he's eating and not playing he doesn't drop any at all

Bailey now loves corn. Even moving anywhere (still within the cage) I hold it. Millett nor carrot has done that... Do feel sad for him as he comes out rarely. He is missing out. Also can't get him finger trained easily as stupid cage has the door off centre to the right and he sits furthest left.
I know they are all different, but never had one this quiet before. All the rest were live wires and hysterical. Hope Bailey does change a bit. Had him 4 weeks now

My lot love sweet corn. They go mad for it. They also love spinach and cucumber. In fact they try almost all new foods I put out for them as long as I pretend I am eating it first! They eat fruit, strawberries, apple etc. but prefer veg.

Do you use tinned corn? I have given the corn in fresh salads but thought about getting corn on the cob?

I've given them fresh corn on the cob but they seem to prefer the tinned stuff, i think its because its softer. I get the natural one in water, then I wash it before giving them. I've a couple of cobs in the fridge just now and was thinking of cooking it so it softens then letting it cool and giving it to them.

I will get a tin and wash it. He eats corn the same as seed, middle bit, spitting out the outer part
