The little symbols is not there for all members only if you select it in your profile. Yes everyone can call me OP seeing as there is only one. Maybe we should call you Pop instead of OP.

I like Pop. I used to call my father Pop. Back to giving out ages, this is why I didn't give anyone's away (namely Nic) It was up to her to reveal herself or not. I think tinksmum it was who said ages don't matter on here. I can't agree more!

Enjoy your youth, teens and young life. Make the very best of it because once it's gone it's gone. Humour of the kind you see on here does come with experience. I can't speak for the rest of the members but my sense of humour is easy to understand, I hope. There is an old saying :- Laugh and the World laughs with you. Cry and you cry alone.

Hezz!!! My father hated being called Pop. He thought it was an Americanism. It must have been an Australinism then. Me I don't mind at all.

Age is irrelevant unless you're a teenager and can't wait to grow up. Believe me, take your time it's not all fun and games when you get there kids.

Well, it was a bit like this: he wasn't really a very good "Dad" sort of a person, but not altogether all bad either , and my children called him Poppy, so Pop he became.

Ah, that explains it the. The Americans brought a few odd words with them during WWII and British people frowned on them (the words).

Er! Yes they did but I wasn't going to mention that. I thought it was us Yorkshire folk that spoke our minds. I'm going to stop digging the hole that I am getting myself into.

I asked this cause i taught i was the only child here. you guys and gals know how to have a laugh. Humour doesnt disappear with age, but wisdom comes with age and as you get older you'll understand that, the worrying trend is when you have your own family and suddenly realise 'god i sound like my mother/father' Enjoy your youth & be careful, stay safe.
