I was having what I like to call a free day today where I didn't have any chores to do (well apart from the obvious of course) cleaning those budgie buds out! But I decided to have a drawing day and thought if anyone was interested in seeing some of my drawings I could post them here. I must add they are not all of budgies either! And these are not for profit, they are only just for fun Here is the one I did today: I will post more as and when hope you like

Wow! such talent. They are beautiful. You must get great satisfaction from drawing. Thank you OP! I really do enjoy doing them - it took me a while to teach myself again as I used to do a lot when I was at school but once I left I stopped. Now I have more time on my hands I thought I would take it up again and see if I could do people and had to teach myself again. I hadn't thought about selling or publishing ffiscool for two reasons 1) I am nowhere near as good as some artists I just have a play around and 2) who would want to buy stuff like this as people have other financial priorities in the current economic climate so doubt they would pay for it! Am really glad you all like them

Well, if you did lots of budgies, you could have a good market. Quite cheap to publish and could be sold cheaply.
Or do postcards of them, designs for mugs. I think you are better than you are giving yourself credit for.

Don't sell yourself short Samwise, those drawings are fab. In life there will always be people who are more talented, but you certainly have a gift.

The three sketches are really good, Sam ... oops, sorry four, but I am in awe of your flying budgie picture - that is brilliant! With the two budgie sketches, I love the subtlety of them .... the lack of outline in places .... how much is left to the imagination. Now here is something I have thought about a few times over the last week or so ...... no one ever draws their budgie doing what they do heaps - standing on one leg. They make is look so natural in real life; I wonder if anyone can replicate that ease, or if they would simply look off balance. If you are looking for a challenge .........
