Scamp wants a swing too! funny you should say that she did pick it up and tryed to get through the cat flap with it in her mouth ...lol... and yes every thing including the swing with be disinfected ...before it gets put in my flight ... ..

I would add; breeders spot all their budgerigars with Ivermectin 0.1% twice a year, if everyone done this we wouldd then see very little scaly and air sac mites in todays pet budgies. Do note the comments above about perches and disinfecting them, every item the bird has access to can become contaminated with these mites............yes that includes all their resting and playing placings in your home...................F10SC needs to be a big priority in your home....... does F10 kill mites??, i thought it just killed, bacteria,moulds,yeasts and fungi's.? How do mites manage to get established in the first place don't budgies groom each other to remove things like mites

Mites are burrowers, Ryan. I imagine that is how they manage to escape the preening process. Plus not all budgies have a friend to preen them.

Nice work, Mick for a few minutes of your time. very true....thanks hezz..... iv washed and disinfected evey thing in my iner flight today .... and changed the wood chips on the floor .... 2moro ill do the outyer flight chuck all the old perches away and wash and disinfect every thing els...then put up the new perches plus the swing.. heres 2days inside flight finished ......
