Oooh lots on there, is it the High potency super fine, or the adult lifetime super fine.

I use high potency super fine which is what Kevin the vet plonked down in front of me during Woody's travails and said something like "Here's the future". I haven't clocked the adult lifetime super fine. I've just had a look at the MAH site and I think because of both Woody's and Berry's diagnoses, I will continue with the high potency. And I haven't used the booster but MAH sent me a free sachet when they replaced a recent bag of super fine which was seemed to be the wrong size of granule.
Incidentally, Charlie who is by far my oldest bird was the fastest to convert, bless him.

skysmum, here is my routine: When I put the birds to bed for the evening I remove the seed, but leave them with their grass bundles that they are given every morning. In the morning as soon as they are let out and as part of the morning routine, they get their fresh grass and that is all. I don't give them their seed until about midday, and most days Sparky and Smudge start hassling me for it about 11am. Unfortunately two days a week I have to leave the seed in for them as I don't get back home until around 4.30pm I have been thinking about and may start this week, leaving them some seed on the floor of the cage for them to forage for ...... this is supposed to be following their normal routine more closely as well, and they are getting better at foraging for the seeds that drop off the grasses. Millet is a luxury, a bit like Xmas, and veggies are added whenever I am getting veggies for us. I have slightly modified my approach to work for me, whereas it was taken from a avian vet's recommendation for following their normal, natural approach to food in the wild where they would have to fly to feed first thing in the morning, some foraging during the day, feed again before/around dusk and fly off to roost. It may have been slightly different to this, but I am working off memory only. The main reason I have taken this approach is Smudge's weight. The others have to have the same - must be good for them too!

I have started today, they all look as if they have been robbed . I wish i could supply the seeding grass but alas there is none to offer during the winter but im going to do some germinated seeds for them. Im also going to order some pellets and offer as a side line to see what happens and the millet is being cut down to once a week. If you see an add asking for a new home for 4 hard done by buds you know its them that has posted it .
