Ooooo errrrr, didn't know you could grow them to order I have heard of these things smelling pretty rank, i think your right sam, they smell like this to attract the flies. Do they feed on the flies though, like the Venus Fly traps do. Get us being all Botanical

Possibly not. Might just be that they use them as pollinators I have looked them up before whilst searching for rafflesias, which are also often called corpse-flowers because of the smell. However, apparently the inside of these contain ridges/warts which act as insect traps, so this one is a killer of the 6-legged, 4-winged variety of creatures. No, they have the horrible smell to attract insects of all descriptions and they drown in the murcky bottom and gradually become fertilizer. skysmum, grow them to order ....... now that would be interesting! Ira, I hope you don't seriously expect me to believe that ....... ??
