The natural bird company sells packets of beads and non dyed leather strips, Karen has lots of things to make toys out of. She also sells packs of balsa wood and non toxic perches made of natural wood.

Ira, LOL!!! You need lessons from a young teen. samwiseg ...... I don't know which bead things you mean ...... I use coloured plastic clear beads (clear because I think the light playing through them catches the birds' attention) - there are stars, butterfies and plain round ones, and the big "crystals", there are cat balls, but obviously you are not talking about them ....... there is a round disc-type thing that came off an old toy ...... some stainless steel washers ...... oh, and a wooden block that also came off an old toy ..... s/s keyrings and a bell or two. That's the lot.

The transparent coloured hoops/rings that are threaded onto the swing is the ones I like, and after a look yesterday I think I have found some BTW thanks for getting my creative juices flowing again!

Ah, yes. I like those ones too. I got the first lot from my local craft shop but this last time I was looking they didn't have nearly such a good range, but luckily the on-line pet store had them as well. But, of course, I should have ordered twice as many .......
