Has anyone used a seashell perch? Are these like sand perches and bad for buds feet?
Cheers

No, I haven't.
Wood is the best. Provide the calcium in food.

As BB has said, natural branches are the best thing, and plenty of variety of thicknesses, lots of bark to chew and you should not have a problem with over-grown nails. In more than eight years I have not had a problem.

In more than eight years I have not had a problem. I have a couple of natural wood perches and some pine blocks for chewing on so he should be fine then there is so much stuff out there claiming to be good for birds then so much contradiction too thanks for your help guys only 27hrs 8mins to wait haha

Do you know what it's not a bad thing to have a budgie obsession, we all survive with one. It sounds like you have everything covered and it's only a very short time till baby bud arrives. How exciting!

I know Basil is GREAT for buds but are budgies okay to eat chives? As they were from the onion family I didn't think they were a suitable food stuff for them? Can anyone confirm this... Hezz, BudgiesBuddy?
