Don't worry, Jo. I call it the Moulting Month of March. Spyro still has a head full of pinnies and Mango is dropping feathers so badly you would think I had been plucking chickens in the kitchen, so just to say you are not alone. It certainly is the moulting month of March isn't it, it looks as if its been snowing in the aviary. All but Chilli who went through his a couple of months ago are moulting like the devil, a real scruffy looking bunch . Slightly relieved they are all at it, just had a tiny bit of doubt about the old boy, didn't want him to go completely bald, id have to get me knitting needles out and make him some clothes .

Glad you're back Jo. Get mum to give your head a little scritch. I should be so lucky Nina. Since he has had to have so much handling and treating for his broken feathers he is very wary of me. I thought things might get better having him on his own but he aint having any of it, AND he has started biting if i try. He is very much the boss these days, but at his age im prepared to overlook his cantankerous ways .

The elderly are definitely allowed to be cranky at times, and most definitely allowed to set the limits when it comes to being petted.

Jo reminded me that he hasn't had a Blog lately . So a little update on his lordship. I felt last weekend that he was getting a bit bored in the bungalow. Since the weather has warmed up and the evenings are lighter he seems to be getting a bit livelier and not as stiff in his little legs. So im trying him in one of the bigger cages, he seems quite pleased with this little arrangement, its a change for him, i just have to watch that he doesn't fall, we shall see how he goes.

He's such a sweetie. That see-saw mirror swing is a real favourite here.

The poor love is still a mass of pinnies. I am happy the warmer weather is doing him good. .......... but I think he needs to come live at my place; we don't have a winter to speak of. Imagine how happy his little legs would be then.

Imagine how happy his little legs would be then. It must be a record Hezz, he is in his third month, he looked like a porcupine at one point, its just going on and on, Teddy in the aviary is the same . It seems the older they are getting the worse it gets, the others are done and dusted.
