Result of conditioning I suppose BB Well, sort of. As conditioning is normally associated with reward or punishment. Therefore it is called either positive or negative. Operant conditioning, that is.

Like Hezz, I am past analysing. I think they call it a lost cause. LOL! Not at all OP However, on a serious note, I saw a programme last night where a senior gentleman stated how he was out of touch with new things now and clearly resigned himself to the fact. He said it with a smile on his face but, I was so upset by what he said as I felt he is selling himself short and he probably has more experience and knowledge which can be just as valuable. There. Can get off me box now

Can get off me box now Better get off before you get knocked off. Maybe I am not a lost cause as much as a misplaced one. I understand what you mean though, Sam. I am left feeling useless and inadequate sometimes at work because a) I am slow on a computer - it is not instinctive for me, and b) everyone is so much more in tune to it and then there is c) my degenerating eyesight means I have trouble finding and reading a lot of what is there as the font is very small, and the glare through the front door onto the screen helps not at all. Edit: I do have glasses, but I need them for distance or reading; when talking to people they are a real nuisance, and that is mostly what I do.
