At four days old, it isn't required to feed her on her back. But that was a lot easier. Who is she?

Chicks snuggle up with eggs and other chicks in the nest box. Dilly is alone so I give her some support in the brooder. This is when she was out during cleaning, and she didn’t have some sort of support. So she decided to do some Hip-Hop

OMGosh that is just toooo adorabubble BB, that is one huge crop , no wonder she is rolling around . How do you know how much to feed them or do you just go by the look of the crop. OH wanted to know what the peeping was, thought it was some sort of alarm so i have just shown him Dilly being fed, even he went just a bit gooey and said, That is dedication, very cute

I have just seen this. That's upsetting what happened to the hen. Dilly is a lucky budgie and I keep my fingers crossed everything works out. You do a grand job BB

That huge crop is certainly not helping to keep balance! I was wondering the same as Skysmum - how do you know when to stop feeding? Does Dilly know when she has had enough, and stop eating?

Once you have done it for a while, you know when it is full. In case of Dilly, she knows when it is too cold, or too liquid/thick, or when she is full.

In this age, the chick's world revolves around the crop Some chicks do know when they are full and some don't. I haven't experienced a chick as clever (and as fussy) as Dilly.

She really is developing BB. I noticed in your earlier vid the eyes were developing. I really do admire yours and your OH's dedication. To think the times you must have done this is just amazing. I am astounded.

So, so tiny. Why do you think it's a girl? Because I haven't seen a chick this little making so much fuss about small things and making angry noises Ah yes, I see.
