The Buds are all coming on a treat , the shoe box gang . I will try putting it back once the wound is healed. But I am somewhat sure that it will not be accepted by than, which means another two months of hand-rearing. It's a nightmare with just one chick, and that too a Lovebird. I have other small brooder setup but I was being lazy to set it up that late in the evening.

Poor little lovebird. You're an expert at hospital care now so it's in the best of hands.

At this rate you are going to burn out, BB. When primary health care nurses are working in remote areas they are sent out of the community periodically for R&R otherwise they get to a stage where they can no longer function professionally. And they must leave to get a break, otherwise they get called upon even if not on duty. This is going to be you soon. Your maternity ward is full to over-flowing with only one nurse on duty - you!! It might just be time to teach your apprentice the fine art of crop feeding.
