Here it is. I had to help Joey get the wrapper off. He didn't flap about the cage like I expected. He did step on it accidentally as I was re-arranging things, but soon got off again. It is quite a bit bigger than I expected, so had to move most of his perches around. It is well made and should last a long time, seeing as Joey doesn't chew.

Oh how exciting! I think its always good to give budgies some sort of new stimulation from time to time - Joey's brain will be working like the clappers now trying to figure it out am sure he will love it

Well he very nearly did swing into the sun Mizloco, well the very next room. He was so used to jumping from the highest perch at the other end of the cage onto the perch just below the one he is on now, both those perches are in the same place, but the swing is in between them and his natural branch perch. He launched from his usual high perch but landed on the swing. I think the intention was to then hop onto the perch you see him on now. The swing swung and must have put some extra spring into the bounce because he missed his intended target hit the seed silo, seeds every where, wings flapping he missed every other perch in the cage and ended on the grid at the bottom. Thankfully he didn't hurt himself, maybe his pride. He then just climb his ladder and sat on the perch at the top of the ladder and glared at the swing. The whole event was over in seconds and was ever so comical. I say thankfully he wasn't hurt. I was sort of worried that he would not venture near the swing ever again. But this is Joey, and when he had recovered his senses he immediately jumped on the swing and used it to propel himself back up to the top perch he had launched from. This was last night just before cover up time so I knew he was staying put for the night, thankfully. Sure enough he was in the same spot this morning. The usual routine on a morning is cover off, open all curtains and blinds, change his water. I make myself a cup of coffee and sit down to drink it whilst reading up on the forum. It is at this time Joey will make his way to the seeds, at the other end of the cage. Of course today the arrangement of his perches has changed, so I watched him. He was still on the perch where he had been for the night and I could see him working it all out. His head was moving from point to point so the he could see where he needed to go, also he would tilt his head to put these points in focus. All of a sudden he dropped on to the nearest perch, jumped on to the swing, used the motion of the swing to get to the next perch and jumped on to the final perch where his seeds are. He did this in perfect motion as though he had done it a thousand times. It really was poetry in motion. Olympics here we come. I haven't forgotten the other posts, I just had to tell this tale. It is the old Joey to a 'T' Sam is so right with the brain stimulation. birdguhl: he certainly gave it the eye this morning. Sorry for such a long post. I hope it's not boring.

I'm so glad I could portray the action that took place, Mizloco. They can keep us entertained that's for sure, they certainly keep the nerves on edge I have corrected the typo for your name Mizloco.
