Hi All, if I order some beads to make toys do they need to be special wooden beads for budgies or do I need to look for anything in particular, can I just order wooden coloured beads from Ebay? Thank you

You have to be careful with wooden beads incase they are coated with any kind of paint etc. I tend to stick with plastic pony beads, they are a good size so budgies can't swallow them and they are nice and thick so nothing will break off.

The Yellow moon site has loads of fun shaped wooden and plastic beads that I have used and none of my birds have fallen off their perches yet and they are all such good prices too. They have to be safe for children to use.
