This evening while I was doing the dishes after dinner my handsome little Frosty suddenly died. I'm heartbroken. He was himself all day, eating singing, feeding the girls and zooming about. I went back into the lounge after washing up, maybe been gone half an hour. Frosty was on laid on the cage floor with all my poor other budgies just looking down at him. He will be so missed by them all, especially his girls Bubbles and Sonic- he adored them both so much. He was so warm and soft when I picked him up I hoped I was mistaken and not too late, but I stroked him and talked to him, held his little body in my hands to keep it warm but of course he was dead. I had known it deep down already, I felt so foolish, but I just couldn't understand how it had happened so so fast. Goodbye Frosty, I loved you so much and it was an honour to know you xx

Omg, that is SO sad and I am so sorry. It sounds like it was quick for him, which is a small comfort. How old was he?
It's so scary to think he was fine all day but he had a very happy last day. Not at all foolish what you did and I would have been the same and you got to hold him
RIP Frosty.

I am so terribly sorry, Sarah. At three years of age he was way too young to go like this. Never feel foolish for the love you have for him and wanting the best outcome even when in your heart you know it is not to be. Frosty, you were much loved and will be sorely missed by all your family. Rest in Peace little man.

Rest in Peace, sweet handsome Frosty. Keep his cute face and happy song close to your heart, and he will be with you forever. They leave us much too soon. I am so sorry for your loss, Sarah. You loved him so much.

So sorry for your loss. I congratulate you on your efforts to revive the little fellow. As already said at least it was quick and he enjoyed his life up to the last minute. Rest In Peace Frosty.

Sarah, how awful - that is so sad. I am so sorry this is another loss for you in such a short time. Frosty sounds like he had a great life and almost no suffering but it must still be hard to bear. A huge loss for you and his budgie friends. I guess it reminds us to enjoy our birds every moment we and they have together (which I think people on here do anyway). Hugs from me to you.

Im so sorry Sarah, this is very sad . Its such a shock when they just go like that, i lost one a few years ago very suddenly and you analyse and go over everything looking for an answer. The only comfort being that he did not suffer a long and debilitating illness. Fly high little Frosty.
