that chickens liked pumpkins and the seeds were a good natural wormer for them. You should have seen their faces when I put this in their run: they could have been saying 'what the heck are we supposed to do with that!!! ![](http://i58.tinypic.com/16c5fmc.jpg) Needless to say greedy Georgie is eating the seeds but not a lot else!

Mine have never liked pumpkin either Shirls. Do your chooks like the actual pumpkin then? I was under the impression that it was the seeds that were a natural wormer but have been informed that the actual pumpkin is a wormer too.

I was under the impression that it was the seeds that were a natural wormer but have been informed that the actual pumpkin is a wormer too. They don't touch it at all. The seeds are too big really. It is supposed to be a natural wormer yes, but not sure how much they would need to eat.

They never stray far from each other, if one wanders they soon turn round and call.

My daughters mother in law breeds chickens, white with black spots, the ones that look like poodles who have just been cut, all kinds, she shows them and sells the eggs. She has about 150 of them. Well she had too many cockerels so she asked my daughter could she set up a website to sell them. What do you think she wanted to call the website Rent A Cock! Well my daughter had to point out the implications and communications she may receive ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png)

Thanks SQ, you answered the question. Thank you nour90. My three do stay together, like most birds it's the 'flock' instinct, and they all sleep on top of one another literally!! Sometimes you see two bodies and theres a little head poking out from underneath!!!

In a line like this nour90??? I call this the 'naughty step' ![](http://i61.tinypic.com/o9l2dt.jpg) And just to prove they are not always in a 'line' as you said: ![](http://i61.tinypic.com/n2fztv.jpg)

They have the 'flock' instinct BudgiesBuddy, just as our buds like to be. It's best not to keep one chicken on its own because of this. I did have four, but you may or may not remember I had to have one put to sleep. They were all quite poorly when I got them.
