I wish I knew how too make a banner Perhaps someone would give us a few tips or pointers? Or maybe 'we' could have an online forum training thread? I'm not jealous but they are fabulous..... it would take me months (through to Spring) to come up with anything 1/2 as good.

You need some kind of photo and image editing program. Photoshop is the expensive professional one, but you can get free ones such as Gimp. There will be others (ask samwiseg and Moogie what they use) These programs lets you manipulate images and add basic text. I find that sourcing good pics and clear cutting around the budgies is a bit of a fiddle. (Clear cutting is where you cut around the image/photo to remove the background) Each program will have its own way of doing things.

I wish I knew how too make a banner So do I. The Gimp is what I use to put it all together. It is free, as in free beer, and is very good. Patience is required and a lot of practice. I can't comment on photoshop as I have never used it. On other thing one needs is an idea of what one wants to achieve. An artistic talent and eye is also very handy, that's where I fall down.

Thank you Moogie. Where did you find the pink budgie? or is it my computer screen? The one on the right in your second banner.

I also like OP one - especially with the aerodynamic budgie on a sled, that just did it for me! And Moogie - where have you been?! I just love your entries! I don't know if I could choose one as I like them all!!! Do like JennyB's idea of changing them every week/fortnight stace For the first time I used a free programme to make a banner I used this PIXLR which is a free online photo editor. Or you can use GIMP aka GNU Image Manipulation Programme. Both are free and do give tutorials of how to use them.
