I'm still trying to find how to organise Munchy's cage. I have a perch at the level of the door to try to encourage him to come out and two either side are higher in an attempt to get him interested in perhaps flying between them, although he just cheats and climbs everywhere. The problem I have is making the inside of his cage fun enough for him but also trying to encourage him to come outside. He'll come out for millet, but I covered up the reflective parts of his mirror to stop him being obsessed with it so he won't even come out for that now. So he just sits inside and sings along with the telly. I don't really know what to do to make outside more interesting for him without leaving only the bare essentials inside. The only 'toy' he has in there now are some strips of paper on a keyring to tare up and he gets his ball hanging from a string when he has to stay inside and it's removed when he's allowed to come out. He seems more interested in chewing the ties that I've used to hold his door slightly open to make a platform for extra encouragement to come out. Any idea what I could do to make outside better than inside?

Elfies cage...the small green plastic thing on the left is a trill treat in a holder which he has decided makes a good perch when hes not eating it!?.... I like Elfies cage set up and of course the cage too. Looks a little poser too.

The cage set up hoping that there's more room to move the wings. Attachments:

Hi everyone. Here is my aviary full of beautiful budgies. The aviary is quite new as well Measurments are: Height-1.8m Length-1.72m Depth-0.75m My 6 budgies are much happier in here as they had out grown their other cage that probably less than a quarter of the aviary Nicola

I am sure they are happy there, Nicola. How do you go in and out without them escaping?

Here are few photos of different cages that I've had since becoming a budgie slave. This one is Larry's first cage. ...and this is cage he had up until his untimely death. ...and this outside cage/aviary belonged to Curly & Mo, who I'll tell you about some other time.

Been having a play around with the cage set up, since one of the lower perches snapped the other day. We need some more new ones. Note the sleepy head! Attachments:

Decided to change billie's cage around, which madam didn't like so now its changed yet again. I also noticed that one of the bars had snapped off on the bottom. Looks like a new cage is now in order, but I have moved the little seed pot to 'hide' it from her. The rope perch is back in its original place. Attachments:

Thought I'd bump this up for newer members to check through, or if anyone has a new cage or modified their cage and wants to repost some ideas for other newbies.

Very beautiful cage Change the location of the perches which are on top each other so the poop shouldn't drop on the below one.
