My budgie likes to walk all over the keyboard of my laptop. I think he likes the plastic bounce of the keys. (must stop saying "he"). She also likes to get her beak around the corners of the keys and have a good nibble at the different characters. In general, she just enjoys all the sensations of being on the keyboard, but often I am reading something (or on 'Budgerigarsforum' - she is here now), so what I wanted to know is, does the display of the screen harm her eyes in any way? She is one centimetre away from it - altho not looking! She's far more interested in walking about on her cute, big flapping feet.

I have not heard anything regarding the screen being bad for their eyes. If you are concerned that it might, reduce the amount of time that she is exposed to it, is the only thing I can suggest.

Yes, sensible advice, thanks. I will make sure she doesn't do this too regularly.
