Just noticed mine is going out of date soon and want to get some more just in case.Been looking around and the postage is so expensive on some sites and the cost varies so much.

That is the site I have always given to people when recommending it, as well.

I have ordered it from there but I just find the postage of £4.80 to be very high for a small pot. I just don't know how they can justify it when someone like Karen from the Natural birds can send a whole box of toys for much less.

Couldn't agree more starlingqueen, the P&P charges for things are always my gripe too

Not sure how you guys are placed, but we are finding that our general postal service, Aust. Post, has upped the price of postage for all and everything, particularly packages, due to the lack of ordinary mail going through. Email has taken over as the mail of choice, understandably, and they, the postal service are losing money hand over fist. But I do agree, that that does seem very steep for a small pot. Again, unfortunately, there are prices for weight ranges, and under/over certain weights seem to cop a particularly harsh pricing.

The pricing used to be done on the weight but is now done on the size of the parcel. Unless they put a 40g pot in a massive box I can't see how they can charge £4.80. On Amazon they have standardised the postage costs for books and DVD. They are all the same price which stops people selling things for 99p and charging £12 for postage which used to happen a lot, presumably because they thought people would not look at the postage costs or the other reason is because companies like Amazon and ebay take a percentage of the sale price so if they put the real price of the item on as postage and the postage cost on the item they only get a small fee for selling.

It's not so much the weight for our postal services it's the size of the parcel. If it was flat packed to the size of a small envelope it would cost very little. But who would trust the postal service to deliver it with the contents inside. So unfortunately one is paying for the size of the package not the weight.
