Oh don't worry about admitting Bree hurt herself, you should have been here a month ago when Pippin cut his tummy open, then it was his eye and last week it was his skin just above his cere and we have only had him 6 weeks. Lots of people on here have had things happen. Everybody is very supportive and it is nice just to voice your concerns and people able to help and give advice without judging you. So glad it is nothing serious, in a few days time when she is making too much noise and throwing things you will wonder why you were worried

Hopefully your friend will have learnt something from this as well, about how to enter a budgie-world. As suesbird has said, most of us have had mishaps at one time or another, and it doesn't seem to matter (with me anyway) how long you may have been keeping these little creatures, a new bird into the flock can find ways and means to keep you on your toes - Spyro managed to break his leg while in his cage (how?), Mango has managed to get herself shut into a drawer, almost hang herself on a piece of curtain chord that I didn't even know existed and find herself in the hollow part of a door frame. So you can sort of consider yourself and Bree lucky to have come out of it relatively unscathed; your hip pocket and nerves probably came out the worst!
