How incredibly sad for both you & your Mum I understand you must feel very sad and like you should've done more but it sounds like he was a very poorly boy and that there probably wasn't much the vet could have done in time to save him, however I know that is still a horrible thought and a very sad outcome for you I had to nurse my little Minty before finally making the decision to have him put to sleep because he was suffering, and I still find it hard to this day feeling guilty that I didn't do enough, but the journey to the vet was a lot for Minty too so I understand how hard it would've been for poor little Charlie as well. Sadly these things can happen so quickly and when we least expect it, please take some comfort that he was surrounded by love and didn't pass alone, he will always be close to your heart. Thinking of you xxx

It certainly doesn't sound as though there would have been a lot anyone could have done for poor Charlie. I am not impressed with the thought of "bring him in and he can wait in the waiting room"; what a horrible thing to suggest; where is the duty of care there??? I am glad you had your mum to be there for him; I am sure Charlie felt better for having her there as well. I understand how horrible it must have been for you, not being there for him, but don't feel guilty, please; you didn't have a choice, and he wasn't alone and that counts for a lot. *Hugs* for you and your mum. xx
