Yes, Harvey still has this very mild form of bumblefoot.
I have let him out of his hospital cage today as he has had no exercise for such a long time because of his feet! Got to say he is LOVING being out. His new rope perch arrived today so that is now in his cage. If there is no progress with his feet over the weekend I think I will take him to the vet next week. Such a mild dose of bumblefoot shouldn't take this long to get rid of especially as I am treating it every day usually twice a day.

Don't expect fast results, Shirls. Bumblefoot is rather like a pressure sore for people - it is an ulcer and notoriously slow to heal. Stimulating the blood flow to his feet could help.

Yes, got a great vet samwiseg and have made an appointment with her for next Thursday. She only does two days a week at the vets and being as Harvey can last til then, I'm sure she will be able to sort him out. Harvey hasn't been to the vet before!!! Another new experience for him. He is back in the big cage now with the others and is very happy.

So Harvey and I set off to the vet this morning. He was such a good boy and showed the vet his feet without even having to take him out of his little cage. It isn't bumble foot, but if it was left and got infected it would turn into bumble foot. She has prescribed 'Surolan' which is an ear and skin treatment for cats and dogs!!! I have to put some on a cotton bud and put on Harvey's feet, twice a day for one week. She said that it would work very quickly and he shouldn't need any further treatment. Fingers crossed! The vet said that there is a spray you can get which does the same thing, but the surgery doesn't stock it and she said the boss wouldn't authorise getting it. Anyway, positive news for Harvey, I am so pleased.

Good news that it isn't bumble foot. Are you able to administer the treatment without difficulty.?

Great news Shirls. Did she say what it was or what caused it?

Should be able to OP, I have been attending to his feet for about 5/6 weeks now with bathing and applying cream!! Vet said 'probably due to preening his feet a bit too aggressively' starlingqueen. Hope that's what caused it anyway. Which I somewhat find strange that he has the same mark on each foot, but who am I to say??

Ah that's good. The only problem I can see is Harvey will be coming to you and putting his foot in the air waiting for treatment.
