We had the perfect view tonight. If the weather was nice Stace and her hubby should have had as good a view. Was a nice reddish the earth is ending kind of color. Wish I had a better camera with a proper lense.

This has put me in the holiday spirits for some reason. Things are very toned down this year here in Japan for obvious reasons but I opened up a good bottle of Sake with gold leaf in it for good luck. Cheers.

That's it in the earth's shadow, took tons of pics as it was turning to a sliver but the camera couldn't focus right, just an average digital, but as soon as it was in total eclipse - boom- got some great shots.

Northern Australia was supposed to be one of THE vantage points. We of course had a cloudy night! December in the tropics, it's going to happen. Shrug

Japan was just a little of line hence the sliver on the red moon but still this is the best I can ever remember seeing an eclipse since my childhood. We got a perfect solar eclipse where I lived when I was a kid.

Can't believe I missed it. I'm usually on the ball with those things. That photo is brilliant.
One of the best things I ever saw was the space station visibly hurtling past overhead one perfect starry night in Sydney.
