My new Budgie Astrid/Astro not sure male or female yet has been doing runny watery poos since she/he can to her/his new environment, she/he done some poos within the hour of choosing her at the breeders and they seemed absolutely fine. Could it just be the stress of the travel (which was hour and a half) and the new home that has given her an upset tummy. On the same food as the breeders so not change in diet (not that buds eaten anything yet) which I again I do believe is usually for the settling in process. Thank you for any opinions given

Can you post any pictures? When did you pick him/her up? It can take budgies a while to settle so it is probably that which is causing the runny poo. How long has the budgie not eaten for? If you are not already doing the following try covering the back, sides and top of the cage with the overnight cover, avoiding loud noises or bangs (for example doors slamming or gaming consoles with lots of sound effects) Move quietly near the cage and talk quietly to your budgie. You may like to put the radio on at low volume. These actions may help your budgie settle and start to eat and drink. Don't let loads of visitors come and see your budgie just yet! Let them wait untile your budgie is more used to you and it's new home first. The same applies to small, noisy members of the family. Their excitement may be very frightening to a budgie that hasn't experienced it before. I hope this helps, keep us updated please!

Congrats on welcoming a new budgie to the family. We'd love to see some pics of Astrid/Astro!
I would assume the runny droppings are from the stress of travel and being in a new home. I'd monitor the poops for a couple more days for any change in colour or anything odd (smell, undigested seeds etc.) If they start looking normal, it was just the stress. Also, in the future remember that feeding them fruits or veggies high in water content can cause runny droppings.
Don't worry about the not eating/drinking they're just scared and will most probably endulge when you're asleep. It may help to bring some food and water down to their level if they're staying put on the floor of the cage.
Good luck with everything, and we can't wait for pictures!

Only got her/him yesterday in quarantine at the moment in our bedroom away from my other 3 and so its quite quiet in there for him/her. I have got a picture of the poo but just changed the paper on the bottom and she/hes been again and it looks normal this time. But will show you how it has been. She/he has literally just started eating and drinking as i write this. I took the tops of the pots as i dont think he realised that it was there and gone straight for it.
Seems perfectly healthly otherwise.
