I think we can add these to Crime or Thrillers, don't you think, Jane? Whichever you think suits best. I couldn't find Lars Kelper in fantastic fiction; I wonder if he might have an alternative spelling? Ragnar Jonasson certainly looks interesting. Sorry I spelt the surname wrong. Yes they are crime books. www.fantasticfiction.com/k/lars-kepler/

I've just finished the latest Jo Nesbo book. Another of the Harry Hole series, called "Knife". Anyone read it??

Not read that one Hezz, Harry Hole 'Knife'. Is it worth a read? I have read so many of Jo Nesbo books I have to say I got a bit bored with them but am open to read a new, good one.

Definitely worth a read, Shirls, but maybe not if you got bored with his writing. It is his latest book, if that means anything ...

If you don't like bad language, this is not the book for you, but, if you can see past that, it is one cracker of a story, the twists and turns in this will have you turning the pages.

I see Jo Nesbo has a new book out. Not yet in the library but I've added my name to the queue.

Well, in my humble opinion, if anyone askes for it, I couldn't recommend Jo Nesbo's latest, "The Kingdom". I very rarely give up on a book mid way through it, but this one I did. I struggled to about halfway before finally pulling the pin and saying enough is enough. I was not enjoying it, at all.

I can't remember the name of the last Jo Nesbo book I read but it got just a bit too violent - even for the likes of me ! I don't know if it's somewhere in this thread but I imagine that, being down under and all, you'll have read 'The Dry', Hezz ?

Shirls, I usually avoid Australian-based novels, much depending on the credentials of the author. Maybe I should give it a go.

I am very much the same, I think I've only given up on a book once as I think it deserves to have all of it read before I make a judgement on it. The book I couldn't continue with was Spike Milligan's autobiography. Despite it being humorous in many places he suffered from depression so badly it was starting to get me down!!!
