My bird, every day, puts his head down to the bar he's standing on and "chortles" non-stop, puffing out his throat which sort of balloons. Why do they do this? I'm really curious, it's like he goes into his own little world lol

All the signs of a happy and contended little chap. My Archie sticks his head on a rung of his ladder and chortles away to himself, it's not talking even though a few words come out, it's mostly random noises, head bopping then head against the rung again. Archie sometimes makes the same noises plus beak grinding, but very quietly while he sleeps, so budgies must dream. Enjoy your Bud, he is a happy Chappie.
