Recessive pieds don't have throat spots, so in this fella's case, never!

Pretty sure this one is a male.

He has one throat spot on his left side that popped up last week.
I was just curious if that could give me a better idea of his age.

The second picture was taken about a month ago.

Sorry, that was a little misleading ...... they don't generally get throat spots in the way that the other mutations do, some never get them, others only sometimes the occasional one or two and it seems this doesn't happen every moult, so no, it is no indication of age.

Cool! He molted as soon as I brought him home. He's a neat little guy. I put him in with my older (not by much) boy, Pewdiepie. Pewdie was in a cage with his best bud, Soda & Peanut, my only female.
Soda & Peanut have a serious case of Romance Fever.
Soda was bullying Pewdie, he was only allowed to sit on the swing or at the bottom of the cage so I took him out.
