Thank you, however it's self inflicted. Ignorant of the damage that smoking was doing.

Yes OP. The pics are of the front garden jungle. The chooks are in the back, I'm sure I've posted pics of that before, but as you say, there is quite a large area to tend to. We have concentrated on the back more so far, except for trimming a few big shrubs/trees at the front, otherwise I wouldn't be able to see out!! When I say 'we' I mean my daughter and her OH as well as myself. It is a funny little bungalow I live in, but I love it, it's a bit messy outside but looking after it keeps me occupied!! I know what you mean about keeping occupied, sometimes I wish mine was smaller, I can spend all day out there and still there are things to do. It is a size like yours.

Thank you helenmat and samwiseg for the info on the other two plants. The second one Euphorbia Helioscopa (helicopter comes to mind!!) on mine, the centres are black, but perhaps it's about to seed? I have a similar, ground covering Euphorbia in the back garden too whereas this one is on long stems. How many different Euphorbias can there be I wonder??

Crumbs look at those pictures, I wouldn't need a stair lift, not yet but no....I like flat and funnily enough most places we've lived (while married) have been on the flat. Although my husband was well prepared for when we moved here, he planted shrubs and bushes that could just grow without much attention. This was our back garden in 2010, it looks somewhat different now without the sink but the shrubs are now small trees! Hmm actually looking at that photo I think I preferred it then

Shirls, I love your terraces. A bit of a clean up there and it will be brilliant. Look forward to the finished product.

Oooh so posh - 'terraces' Well, maybe I was a little hasty ..... but they could be with a bit of revamping. But like Jean says, you have some great plants there already.
