Can anyone give me some advice I am a novice , and my first pair have been breeding. The hen laid three eggs unfortunately broke one but produced two lovely chicks, which have left the nest box about a week ago they are doing really well. But the hen as laid another egg in the nest box. I don't want her stressed so what should I do ? I would really appreciate an advice.

I don't know anything about breeding budgies Kenny, but if it were me I'd remove the nest box, that being there will encourage her to breed.

The nestbox should have been removed once the chicks left it, if you didn't want her to go another round. I am not sure what would be best for her now. I think what I would do is remove the box, put the egg on the floor of the cage and see what she does. If she rejects the egg and doesn't lay any more then problem solved; if she lays another and tries to incubate (generally this happens after egg #2 has been laid), it might be kinder to put the box back in and allow her to get on with it. You could give her marbles as dummy eggs ..... again, I am not sure when and how well it would work, but worth a try.
