I've posted this before but hope you don't mind me posting it again for Phineas.
A budgie's a gift, that we can't keep for long soon it must return to God where it belongs.
It goes back to it's maker to your God and mine but thank you lord for allowing us to share them for a time.
Their beauty you created, their little song and sounds, they find their way into our hearts and there are forever bound.
So thank you Lord for giving us these precious little birds, help us to care for them and release them to you heavenward when you call them home.
I'm no poet! Just hope this helps with the loss of our dear little friends when the time comes. Peace [']

I'm sorry for your loss sweetpea. Such a lovely boy who obviously trusted and loved you very much as not a lot of birds would let you stroke them in that way.

I'm sorry for your loss sweetpea. Such a lovely boy who obviously trusted and loved you very much as not a lot of birds would let you stroke them in that way. He is the only bird I've ever had who has let me stroke his feathers. And he really liked it, tilting his head to let me know which bit to do. He would preen my finger, regurgitate to me & of course jiggy-jiggy on my right hand. It was probably the best relationship I've ever had, & I'm including humans in that.

Nooo! Not dear, naughty Phinny. Did I miss something, sweetpea? Had he been sick, at all??? I hope that doesn't sound rude; I really didn't expect this, is all. I am so terribly sorry. He was such a larrikin of a bird, but I am sure he will be keeping all the heavenly buds entertained in typical Phinny fashion. Rest in peace, dear little man; we will all miss you, miss hearing about you and your naughty ways. Hugs and thinking of you, sweetpea. xxxx

It's unbearably sad whenever a budgie dies, but with Phinny ... he was something special. Such a beautiful photo of Mr Adorable ...

I'm absolutely gutted to learn that Phinny has passed. He was the most charismatic little budgie and his bond with you, sweetpea, was clear for all to see. Such a quirky and sweet-natured bird to let you stroke him like that. I'm so sorry.
