So I gave my cousins two budgies that I bought from one at the pet store and the other at some person who didn't want it anymore. I have a female who I know is older than one years old and a male under one years old. They get along and love to pick on their each other's head like they are brushing and three months later, I get a call from my cousins on Thursday that the female laid two eggs. I didn't expect this at all since my male is young and I don't know if they actually mated. The old owner gave me a nesting box and on the weekends I'm heading over to give to them. But I do want to know if the egg is fertile or not. My cousins and I are very new to keep budgies and breeding. I do know that we have to hand feed them when they are about 21 days old?

How old are the eggs in the picture? And why do you think you have to hand feed them?
