this is my boy he has much more long and fluffy feathers than my other boys can anyone tell me if this is a normal feather they can have I have had him since sept this year and I did think he was maybe just younger then the others boy but they are not changing t all any information please thanks all

Welcome itsallinthetweet. I am by no means an expert on budgie breeds or genetics, but both budgies in your picture look like exhibition budgies to me. I can't tell from your picture whether the 'yellow face' is grey or green. A clearer picture would help someone else to advise you what mutation he is. I think though that the feathers are perfectly normal. Have you been to the 'Introduction' thread, we like to get to know our new members.

I agree with Shirls, your budgies look like exhibitions birds to me so will have 'bigger' feathers (and heads hehe)

The birds are bred for show, and these longer, thicker feathers are what the Show society deems the more desirable. They are generally slower and more sedate than the quick, flitty and playful pet budgies.
