HELLOW! Mico and Nika, are doing great, they love each other, groom, play with each other. Since i saw Male, huping toys before her, i tought maybe they should have babies. Why not ? I've checked everything, talked to breeders, read a lot and i have everythign needed, BUT! Main thing is nest. So there is no hole in my cage where i can put wooden box,and i cant put it inside. Cage is really big, and i plan on getting one more for babies if needed. (they are pretty expencive here tho) So first i foud this brown thing, and i put i in cage, not expecting anything but just to see their reaction. She came in laying in and biting it, since i know that is not the best thing for them, i went out and changed wooden box for this yellow nest. They are both in cage now.. So my question is can budgies breed in this? Has anyone had experience with breeding them in something besides boxes. I know they are best option, but not the only one..

That looks like a finch's nest to me. I don't think it would be strong enough over the time needed before the chicks leave the nest.

Your cage doesn't look big enough for 2 budgies so certainly wont be big enough for more. Please don't encourage them to breed by giving them a nest.

It dosent look from this angle, trust me this thing is really big, they have a loot of space, there could be enough space for maybe even 2 more birds but as i said i will get the babies new cage of coruse, and male is really teritorial soo..I put this in, they are playing with it and chewing on it, but im asking is there anything else anyone has used here to nest budgies, since wooden box is not a choice here..
