These are gorgeous! As I'm a total dunce with about four left hands, I'd really appreciate a how-to with all the stupid, seemingly obvious details explained. A recipe, so to speak!

Over the past few months, Puck's playground has evolved to this Toys on it are vegetable leather straps with beads and wood blocks (from a parrot toy I got). The ropes from the cotton dog toy, as suggested by Soph (?) on the old forum. Edit: Tried to get a photo with a better perspective and him in it but his new thing is flying on to my phone when I try to take pictures

Mine are really simple. I used sisal - Got a few strands and plaited them to make them strong. Knotted one end. Threaded on beads and cut up bits of palm shredders. Knotted the other end. For the others, same principle just threaded stuff on sisal The hoops are just baby teething rings and coloured wreaths from chinchillas2shop

Extra wide swing. Found the handle on a cheap plastic bucket in the paint department and used a box cutter to cut down the wooden dowel to fit the handle which already had holes in it. Cost about $3 and 5 minutes time. Nice thing about it is you can choose the daimeter.

Cost about $3 and 5 minutes time. Nice thing about it is you can choose the daimeter. Great idea with the bucket handle. Have to remember that. Watch out for that bell, Robert. It will be plated, and rust will eventually form underneath the plating (especially in those steamy Tokyo summers). If they ingest the rust, it's like poison. Most of us on here have ordered in stainless steel bells to replace those on our current toys. Stainless is the only metal that's reliably safe.
