One of my chicks that was 1 day old passed away for no obvious reason. The crop was full and chick was lovely and warm ect no blood on it or cuts. There was a bruised look to the top of the head though? Any ideas why this would have happened?

Thanks guys It was sad yes and more do because I couldn't explain what happened. Like I say the only obvious marks were the dark coloured bruising on the head

I'd like to think that all the baby chicks are together on Rainbow Bridge, feeding and teaching each other to fly. Such a mystery.
