In April I adopted two 14 month old Australian budgies who are closely bonded and are now showing affectionate behaviour to each other. I have a male and a female in a large cage together, they are the only pets in my bedroom. I understand the methods of taming them yet I know they are happier without me interfering. I want to breed them and have looked into it but I’m not sure if this is possible without taming them first. Can you help me please? Thank you for reading this!

Of course you can breed them without them being tame but there is a lot to be learnt about breeding and the whole experience would be a whole lot easier if both you and the birds are comfortable with each other.
